Tina Brooks - Minor Move LP (Tone Poet Vinyl Series)
Recorded in 1958, Minor Move was Tina Brooksâ very first recording, though it wasnât released until 1980, 6 years after his tragic death at the age of 42. In fact, Brooksâ 1960 classic True Blue was the saxophonistâs only album released during his all-too-short lifetime. Once all 4 of Brooksâ Blue Note albums were released his status as one of the most innovative tenor saxophone stylists in jazz has become clear.
